Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker are imprisoned with Joseph. Both dream on the same night; Joseph interprets their dreams. The cupbearer will be restored in three days; the baker will be hanged. Both come true exactly. Joseph's only request — "remember me" — is forgotten for two full years. The chapter is a turning point: Joseph's gift of dream interpretation is established, but deliverance is not yet.
