Sons of God, the Nephilim, and the Ark

The most theologically compressed chapter in the primeval history. In the space of 22 verses: mysterious divine beings take human wives; giants walk the earth; God surveys the totality of human corruption and grieves; and one man finds grace. The word "grace" (Hebrew: chen) appears in the Bible for the first time in verse 8 — and it belongs to Noah.
